The Zemlinsky Trio is formed by clarinettist Peter Cigleris, cellist Evva Mizerska and pianist Emma Abbate - three soloists, all distinguished in their own right, who come together to explore the rich heritage of Romantic repertoire for clarinet, cello and piano.
For twenty years, the Sacconi Quartet have been captivating audiences with their unanimous and compelling ensemble, consistently communicating with a fresh and imaginative approach. Formed in 2001, the four founder members continue to demonstrate a shared passion for string quartet repertoire, infectiously reaching out to audiences with their energy and enthusiasm.
Hanna is a former member of the prestigious Jette Parker Young Artists programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and has performed solo roles at international opera houses including La Scala in Milan, Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, Teatro Real of Madrid and Seattle Opera. Hanna and Emma's world-première recording Sera d'inverno: Songs by Ildebrando Pizzetti for Resonus Classics has been praised by Gramophone for its 'considerable intensity' and was Editor's Choice in the June 2018 issue of the leading Australian magazine Limelight.
Emma and Julian have given duo recitals for the Mozart Society of America and at many UK venues, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, St George’s Bristol, St John’s Smith Square, Hatchlands Park and the Russell Collection, Edinburgh. Praised for their ‘‘impressive sensitivity’’ (Early Music Reviews) and for telling ‘‘a totally convincing story with every piece’’ (The Arts Desk), their recordings have received five-star reviews in BBC Music Magazine and Het Nieuwsblad. Their latest disc, Tournament for Twenty Fingers, features music by 20th-century English composers and was selected by Scala Radio as Album of the Weekend.
Evva and Emma have performed together for international festivals in Salzburg, Naples and Koscierzyna, and at many UK venues such as St George’s, Bristol and Fairfield Halls. Their discography includes world-première recordings by Krzysztof Meyer, Algernon Ashton and Stephen Dodgson. Published by Toccata Classics, their performances have been critically acclaimed in magazines such as The Strad, International Record Review, German Fonoforum and American Fanfare – where the Meyer album was selected as one of the five best CDs of 2009.
In addition to festival appearances, Emma has recorded Stephen Dodgson's two piano quintets with the Tippett Quartet for Toccata Classics. Their performances have been praised as 'a model of chamber ensemble playing' by Musical Opinion, and the disc was named a Musicweb International Recording Of The Year 2017.
