Emma Abbate was awarded the LRAM teaching
diploma from the Royal Academy of Music in 2005. In addition to her
activities as a teacher and official accompanist at Trinity College of
Music, she is committed to a wide variety of educational activities.
Emma assists students in preparing for auditions and exams, and is
familiar with all the recognized examination bodies. Her students are of
all ages and abilities and she teaches both individually and in groups.
As a vocal coach and accompanist /
repétiteur, Emma Abbate has worked for leading companies including
Pegasus Opera, the Royal Academy Opera, the international opera course
at the S. Cecilia Conservatoire (Rome), and the Mean Time Opera’s
production of Carmen. Outreach educational projects are also important
to her work, and she currently plays for the Music in Hospitals scheme
with Polish cellist Evva Mizerska.
